We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Payroll Executive to join our growing Payroll Bureau. Candidates will ideally have prior experience of working within a payroll bureau, however we will consider candidates who don’t have bureau experience, but have strong payroll skills and knowledge.  The roles offer an ambitious individual the opportunity to build on their existing experience by managing a portfolio of clients and running weekly and monthly payroll.

Payroll Executive main duties include:

  • Processing multiple payrolls and managing own workload
  • Maintain the payroll system and records by capturing, calculating and inputting data
  • An understanding and ability to calculate all statutory payments including maternity and parental leave
  • A full understanding and the ability to calculate statutory and occupational sick pay
  • Responsible for pension and auto enrolment administration

Person specification

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience within a payroll environment with a deep understanding of PAYE procedures
  • Excellent mathematical skills with an ability to calculate statutory payments
  • Strong knowledge and experience using payroll software, spreadsheets and journals
  • A sound understanding of pensions and auto enrolment administration
