SME Brexit Support Fund grant applications to open soon
The SME Brexit Support Fund has been established to help small and medium businesses with changes to trading regulations with the EU.
This is an important announcement for businesses with up to 500 employees and up to £100 million turnover who import or export goods between Great Britain and the EU, or trade between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The grants are worth up to £2,000 and are to be used to pay for professional advice and training in relation to:
- how to complete customs declarations
- how to manage customs processes and use customs software and systems
- specific import and export related aspects including VAT, excise and rules of origin
Our VAT and Customs Duties Team will be pleased to provide you with a fee quote for providing your business with bespoke professional advice and training in relation to customs processes and VAT that you can use the grant to pay for.
The following webpage will be updated where you can submit a grant application – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/grants-to-help-small-and-medium-sized-businesses-new-to-importing-or-exporting
