Raising the Bar – Garbutt + Elliott shortlisted

The West & North Yorkshire Chamber have shortlisted Garbutt + Elliott for the ‘Raising the Bar 2017 Awards’ in their ‘Community’ category. This is the third time we have been nominated for the award!

Raising the Bar helps local businesses of all sizes showcase the good work they do in the community and benchmark progress against set standards of achievement. Contributions are assessed in the four main categories of community, education, economy and environment.

Examples of winning entries include businesses which strive to be at the heart of their local communities, through staff volunteering or fundraising for a local cause or charity.

Nigel Shaw, Partner and head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Garbutt + Elliott said ‘We are so proud to have been shortlisted for an award which also represents the culture of our business. All our activities which we undertake help bring our people together – whether it is running a 10K, climbing the peaks or just baking cakes’

Earlier this year, the Partners & Directors tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise funds for their chosen 2017 Charity Partners, York Against Cancer and Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal. The G+E team also ran the York and Leeds Asda Foundation 10k in order to beat their fundraising target of £15,000 for 2017/18.

This year’s winners will be announced on 29th November at the Raising the Bar 2017 Awards evening.
