Our second Gearing Up for Brexit webinar
Following the success of our first webinar, we are delighted to announce the second in our series of updates and webinars that Garbutt + Elliott are hosting over the next few months focused on how to prepare your business for Brexit.
We have joined up with leading international law firm Mills & Reeve to create a wide-ranging and informative update for businesses and business owners at this crucial time. The transitional period will end in less than three months’ time creating a new operating environment for international trade that will take effect on 1 January 2021.
The content will be useful for every business in the UK but particularly any businesses directly planning to be involved in international trade, which has interactions with the EU in their supply chain or has EU nationals as part of their workforce. It is important that all businesses are aware of the changes and it is vital that those who are directly involved take appropriate action now.
In this session our specialist, Naveen Sahney , will take a deep dive into Customs procedure and the issues around Importing and Exporting, Commodities code and Tariffs.
Alex Russell, Mills & Reeve partner, will look at what employers need to know about the new post-Brexit immigration system that will be in place from 1 January 2021, including a look at the main visa categories, how the new tradeable points system will work and tips on what employers can do to prepare for the changes
