Investment Readiness Workshops: Unlocking investment to drive growth

Unlocking investment to drive growth

The Investment Readiness programme is designed to help businesses understand the full and diverse range of investment options available that can best support their growth and to prepare compelling proposals to secure external finance. Businesses can access a wealth of fully funded support tailored to the specific needs of your business part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Over the next 2 years businesses can access a series of half day workshops and funding clinics brought to you by Winning Pitch, in partnership with  Garbutt + Elliott as part of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Investment Readiness Programme. These include :-

What type of funding will help you grow your business?

What/where are the key sources of funding and grants in the market? Identify which is one is right for you and the steps you need to make to securing it. Do you require the amount you believe and are there other innovative ways to raise it that you had not considered?

What’s my business worth?

How debt and equity financing work – an introduction to funding based on the life cycle and the value of your business. Includes a session on how to decide what type of equity raise is best, and an outline of the key elements of a pitch to a financier or debt provider.

What does a lender or investor look for in a business plan?

Define and document your plan the way investors need to see it. Include a section on the key financial measures driving your business and how potential investors expect to see them presented, with an emphasis on the different approaches needed for bank versus equity investment.

Pitch Perfect

The big day has finally arrived. You’ve got your business plan which you’ve read multiple times. You understand your numbers because you’ve gone over them again and again and again! You’ve done your homework and you know who you’re pitching to…. Now get the chance to put it all into practice.

How to successfully plan your business exit

Ever thought of selling your business, or want to know more about what is involved? You’ll be guided through the process of preparing to sell with an overview of how to plan and implement your strategy for exit or succession, maximising the value of the sale and minimising the resulting tax liability.

Funding Clinics

Access one-to-one sessions with funding experts for up to two hours and explore the options and solutions to your funding needs. These sessions will help you identify the key sources of funding and grants in the market and based on your situation which one is right for you, putting in place the steps you need to make in order to be successful.
