Cancer Support Yorkshire appointment



The specialist charities department at Garbutt + Elliott, has been appointed as auditors by Cancer Support Yorkshire.

As part of the appointment, our team will prepare and audit the charity’s accounts ahead of it producing its annual report. Following the tender process, Garbutt + Elliott came out on top ahead of two other accountancy firms.

Our charities and not-for-profit team provides high quality professional advice and support for over 100 clients including Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Saint Michael’s Hospice and Square Chapel Trust. The specialist team offers a broad range of services for its not-for-profit clients including advice and support for VAT, gift aid, risk reviews, grant audits and business plans.

Cancer Support Yorkshire was originally established as the cancer support centre in 1988, providing a counselling service for those affected by cancer. With centres in Bradford and Skipton, the charity now offers a full range of practical and emotional support to people in Craven, Wharfedale and the surrounding areas, as well as the existing Bradford & Airedale district.
