Scull Joins Garbutt & Elliott as Head of Tax

Garbutt & Elliott, the largest independent firm of accountants in York, has appointed a new head of tax.  Nick Scull will be responsible for the development of the firm’s tax department.

He had previously spent seven years at accountants Armstrong Watson in Leeds, where he was responsible for building up the tax advisory team and helping to formulate the firm’s tax strategy.

David Dickson, managing director of Garbutt & Elliott, said:  ‘This is a significant appointment for us.  Nick is highly experienced and will strengthen our tax team, which is already one of the most respected in the region.’

The firm, which can trace its roots back over 100 years, also has an office in Leeds.
