Tony is Given New Role to Increase Business

Anthony Tarpey
Director, Business Development

Leading Yorkshire accountants Garbutt & Elliott have appointed Tony Tarpey as their first-ever Director of Business Development.

Mr Tarpey, aged 47, joined Garbutt & Elliott in 1998 and was previously marketing manager.

He commented: "My appointment reflects the growth in business for the company and it will be my role to increase this business even further. These are exciting times for Garbutt & Elliott across Yorkshire and the North East, and I am delighted to be part of it."

Mr Tarpey is a director of the York Professional Initiative (YPI) and a former director of Venturefest York. He was also heavily involved in securing the prestigious Customer First Accreditation for Garbutt & Elliott last year.

"The Customer First Accreditation is a resounding endorsement of our aim to put our clients first. We are committed to keeping levels of client service at the highest possible level and we are proud of becoming one of the first firms of chartered accountants to achieve this status,”

David Dickson, manager director of Garbutt & Elliott, who have offices in York and Leeds, said: "Client service and business development are an integral part of Garbutt & Elliott’s strategic plan and Tony’s promotion to this new role demonstrates our commitment to growth and placing our clients first."
