Overview of Independent Financial Advisor role

G+E Wealth Management are a very successful and ambitious accountancy owned Financial Planning firm, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Independent Financial Advisor to join our growing Practice, operating from offices in York and Leeds.

Main duties include:

  • Manage and develop your own portfolio of corporate clients
  • Generate private client work from the corporate client base
  • Work with key staff in the accountancy practice to develop new client introductions
  • Manage and expand our contacts with other professional services firms to develop new client introductions
  • Develop opportunities by attending networking events and seminars
  • Hold regular seminars for existing/new clients
  • Work with the marketing team to help develop the company’s profile

Key Skills:

  • The appropriate financial services qualifications (Diploma QCF Level 4 minimum) with a desire to move towards Chartered level qualifications (QCF level 6 is desirable)
  • Proven experience in the Financial Planning market
  • Flair and ambition with a proven track record of exceeding expectations
  • Strong understanding of the role of a Financial Advisor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Good planning and organisational skills; self motivated with the ability to manage and prioritise
  • Have a strong understanding of FCA regulations, compliance and the Retail Distribution Review (RDR)
  • Have a desire to play an active role in planning and delivering the success of the business overall

Salary:
