This department focuses on the needs of our “smaller” clients, a very important part of our practice. Small businesses are in many ways the life-blood of the economy, and as proprietors will often tell you, they still have to comply with all the legislative requirements of larger businesses whilst not having enough time or resources to devote to such issues. Small businesses therefore require a fast, efficient and friendly service in dealing with accounting and taxation issues, along with general business advice when required.

Although this department, led by director Susan Reid operates within one of Yorkshire’s larger independent firms, people are often pleasantly surprised at just how competitive we can be for providing essential accounting and taxation services to small businesses, whilst at the same time being able to offer access to a wide range of in-house specialist expertise should the need arise. Sue is supported by an experienced team of qualified staff, namely Jo Duncan and Clare Stones. All have a wealth of experience in advising small businesses, and will be pleased to take enquiries.

Within our Business Services Department we operate a comprehensive bookkeeping bureau for clients wishing to outsource this function. We act for all sizes of business and both VAT and non VAT registered clients. Sharon Powell heads up this service and would be happy to talk to you about your requirements.
