Yorkshire-based performing arts school Starbrite Studios has appointed Garbutt + Elliott to provide accountancy services and business planning advice as it looks to grow its new college, the Triplestar College of Performing Arts.

The professionally accredited school recently launched the brand new performing arts college in Shiptonthorpe, between York and Hull, to provide education and training for students aged 16 years and older.

Garbutt + Elliott has been appointed to provide a range of accountancy and financial services to support the development of both Starbrite Studios and the Triplestar College of Performing Arts.

Creative director and principal at Starbrite and Triplestar College, Emma Bailey-Hague, said: “We want to deliver a vibrant and dynamic learning experience for all our students who wish to pursue a career in the performing arts. The launch of Triplestar College provides us with the perfect opportunity to extend our learning provision and pass on our extensive knowledge and experience of performing as a career, and education in the performing arts.

“We believe the advice and financial services Garbutt + Elliott can provide will help us achieve our ambitious aims of further developing and growing the college to provide improved performing arts education to pupils across Yorkshire.

The college is currently conducting auditions for full time courses in Musical Theatre, Dance and Acting, for a September 2017 intake.

Matthew Grant, director and head of business services at Garbutt + Elliott, said: “This is a very exciting time for Starbrite Studios following the launch of the Triplestar College. We are pleased to have been appointed by the organisation to help deliver business planning and accountancy services as it looks to fulfil its ambitious aims.”

In addition to its full-time courses, Triplestar College also operates a dedicated junior performance division – Triplestar Associates – for students aged between eight and 16, which complements and augments any performing arts training they may be receiving within their own performing arts school.

Meeting once each month for an intensive day of training, Triplestar Associates provides numerous performance opportunities for talented students who wish to gain an insight into what life is like at a performing arts college.
