On a Roll – Garbutt + Elliott appoint new senior managers to the Payroll Team

I’m pleased to announce that Garbutt + Elliott, based in York and in Leeds has strengthened its payroll team with two senior appointments. Myself as director and head of payroll, and Julie Gunnell, payroll manager, in order to help grow and develop the firm’s service and offering.

With 18 years of experience in audit and compliance, my role will focus around strategy, team growth and development, and procedures covering implementation, monitoring and delivering improvements.

Supporting me will be Julie Gunnell, a full member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and former Lord Mayor of York, with over 15 years of experience in the sector. Julie has provided payroll services to a broad range of clients including several charities and third sector organisations, and has a keen understanding of payroll legislation.

Unlike traditional payroll bureaux’s we provide a dedicated payroll executive to all our payroll clients. Sarah and Julie will also work closely with Garbutt + Elliott’s wealth management team offering an enhanced service that few other firms of its size can match. This unified approach gives clients access to additional expertise, such as pension advice, which is especially important during the auto-enrolment process.

The auto enrolment service helps organisations stay compliant with legislation and Garbutt + Elliott has a wealth of experience in dealing with a wide range of pension providers, whilst quickly and efficiently responding to enquiries when they arise.
