G+E runners take on Leeds 10k with Mr Ted

A team of 10 from Garbutt + Elliott will have a surprise guest runner when they compete in the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k on Sunday 9 July 2017

As part of their CSR activities for 2017 the York & Leeds based accountancy firm have partnered with Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal & set an ambitious target to raise £7,500 for the charity based at St James’s University Hospital.

To raise funds towards the target they will be supporting “Mr Ted” with a bucket collection whilst running the arduous 10k course – it’s rumored Mr Ted is hoping to break the 10km “Yorkshire record ” for the fastest charity mascot!

Nigel Shaw CSR Partner at Garbutt + Elliott & fellow runner commented ” Mr Ted’s done very well in training & looks on the top of his game – I won’t be surprised if he breaks the record. He’s in good shape”

On a more serious note we are pleased to be supporting not only the Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal but also this great Leeds sporting event – it’s a landmark event for the city & does so much for good causes in the area.
